His first Serie A season
Esposito's 2025/26 with Inter: league and Champions League debuts, first goals, 10 goals in all competitions, plus the league title and Coppa Italia.
Kept in the first-team squad for 2025/26, Esposito made his Serie A debut on 31 August 2025, aged 20, replacing Hakan Çalhanoğlu in a 1-2 home defeat to Udinese. On 17 September he made his Champions League debut, starting in the 2-0 win over Ajax at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
His first top-flight goal came on 27 September, after coming on for Marcus Thuram, in a 2-0 win away at Cagliari. On 21 October he scored his first Champions League goal in a 4-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise; on 3 December, in the Coppa Italia round of 16, he scored his first goal at San Siro in a 5-1 win over Venezia.
His influence grew in the second half of the season: on 28 December he assisted Lautaro Martínez's winner away at Atalanta, on 14 January 2026 his goal decided the game against Lecce, he scored in the 6-2 win over Pisa and again in the 3-2 Derby d'Italia win over Juventus.
The final tally was 35 appearances and 7 goals in Serie A, 9 appearances and 2 goals in the Champions League, 4 appearances and 1 goal in the Coppa Italia: 10 goals in all. The season ended with the league title and the Coppa Italia.
